Beekeeping information evening

Peter Carter, Education Office with Sligo Leitrim Beekeepers Association will host an information evening at the Centre, Tuesday, 19th Sept from 8pm. This evening is being hosted in response to requests in our recent Centre survey.

The topics covered will include:-

* Difference between honey bees and wasps
* The hive and it's population
* Different castes of honey bee
* Swarming
* Life cycle of the honey bee
* Stings, pollination etc
* Honey - from flower to jar
* Importance of local honey
* Other bee products
* YOUR BEES NEED YOU!

The talk will be followed by a questions and answers section.
