Arrival

  • Check in time is strictly between 16.00hrs - 20.00hrs Monday to Sunday from April - September
  • Check in time is strictly from 3pm - 5pm on Sundays from October - March
  • Please allow for social distancing in communal areas where possible
  • Please use the hand sanitisation unit in the entrance porch before approaching the reception desk.

Check-in

  • At reception, please use the hand sanitiser provided 
  • Contactless payment accepted up to €50.
  • Screen at desk so that check-in process remains as contactless as physically possible, credit card pin pads sanitised after each use.

Journey to your room

  • To reduce contact between staff and guests, a staff member will provide you with details about the Hostel, the location of your bedroom and communal rooms you have access to for your stay.
  • A floor plan of the building will be provided for your group.

Entering your bedroom

  • Bedroom doors including handles are sanitised after each departure so will be fully sanitised upon arrival.
  • Our linen is changed after every use. Our duvets and pillows are cleaned covered at all times with fresh mattress/pillow protectors.
  • All linens and towels are laundered in our laundry at temperatures above 60° and to HSE guidelines for your comfort and safety.

Kitchen and Dining Room areas
We have made some changes to the operation of our self-catering kitchen and separate dining rooms:-

  • The self-catering kitchen is available to prepare your own meals between 7am - 11.00am and 13.00hrs - 20.00hrs daily
  • The kitchen and dining room will be closed from 11.00am - 13.00hrs to allow for cleaning.
    Guests are not permitted to access these areas during these hours.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided in the kitchen and dining room
  • You will be allocated a kitchen cupboard, which corresponds with your bedroom/s number/s and it will contain cutlery and dishes etc. for your family/group’s use only (during your stay). This cupboard can also be used to store your groceries.
  • You will be allocated a basket in our large fridge for other food items which will also correspond with your bedroom number which is for your family/group’s use only (during your stay).
  • You are required to wash and dry your dishes and put them away in your allocated cupboard after each use.
  • Please do not leave any of your dishes in the sink or on the worktop.
  • Please wipe down any area you have used with antibacterial spray which is available in the kitchen.

Use of other communal areas

  • Please allow for social distancing in communal areas.
  • Hand sanitiser and paper towels will be available for your use.
  • The lounge will be closed from 11.00am - 13.00hrs for cleaning.
    Guests are not permitted to access this room during these hours.

Checking out

  • Check out time is strictly by 11.00am on the day of your departure to allow for cleaning before the next guest’s arrival.
  • If you wish to have breakfast before you leave, please adhere to the times for access to the kitchen (7am - 11am) before it closes for cleaning.
  • Access is not permitted to any rooms in the Hostel after 11.00am departure time.
  • Please adhere to social distancing measures at the reception area when checking out.
  • When departing, if the reception desk is open, please leave your key in the bowl at the reception desk.
  • When departing, if the office is closed, please either leave your keys in the back of your bedroom door or lock your bedroom door and leave the keys in the green post box outside the front porch of the building.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Book a break with confidence
If you have made a payment for your booking in advance, please be reassured that any booking that is affected by a Government closure of business or restrictions on travel due to Covid-19, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity for a change of date.


Forced cancellation of reservation due to Covid-19
If we are forced by the Government to close our business due to Covid-19 restrictions and the closure will affect your reservation, we will contact you to confirm this as soon as possible.


Non-Covid related issue for cancelling or modifying your booking for rooms or the whole Centre
We have a 48hr cancellation policy.  If you wish to cancel or modify your booking for a non-Covid-19 related issue, you will need to do this through the method used to make the booking i.e. Booking.com or Hostelworld.  If your booking was made directly with us, please call us on 071 9176721.  Please cancel in advance of the cancellation period to avoid any charges.
 

For room/s:-

  • Cancellation made 48+ hrs before arrival - No charge or full refund
  • Cancellation made within our 48hr cancellation period - your card used to make your reservation will be charged the fee for the first night's accommodation.


For a whole Centre booking:-

  • Cancellation made 15+ days before arrival - Full refund
  • Cancellation made up to 14 days before arrival - 50% refund or non-refundable change of date
