Hostel & Self-Catering Accommodation in County Sligo

30/3/2021 - COVID-19 UPDATE

We are currently taking bookings for accommodation for July and August 2021 in the hope that Covid-19 restrictions will have eased to allow movement within Ireland this summer.  We are all aware how quickly the situation can change with Covid-19 and we will have to adhere to restrictions in place at that time.

Book a break with confidence
If you have made a payment for your booking in advance, please be reassured that any booking that is affected by a Government closure of business or restrictions on travel due to Covid-19,
you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity for a change of date.

20/10/2020 - UPDATE

COVID-19 / Level 5 restrictions - Hostel closed until further notice
Following the Government's announcement that Ireland is moving to level 5 of the Plan for living with COVID-19 from midnight, 21st October 2020, The Benwiskin Centre will be closed until further notice.

10/7/2020 - Open for business
Whilst ensuring that all Government and HSE guidelines are adhered to due to COVID-19, we re-opened The Benwiskin Centre Hostel on 10th July 2020, operating at approx. half of our normal capacity.

We will endeavour to make all of our guests feel as comfortable as possible during these unprecedented times and hope they will be patient as we collectively adjust to this new normal.

If travelling from outside the island of Ireland
The Irish Government have published a Green’ list of countries where the travel advice will be to take normal precautions and people arriving to Ireland from these countries will not be required to restrict their movements on arrival.

To ensure the health of our staff, neighbours and guests, all guests travelling from countries not included on the ‘Green’ list are required to restrict their movement for 14 days prior to arriving with us. On arrival at the Hostel, you will be required to show us evidence of your flight arrival date. If you have not been in Ireland for 14 days before arriving with us, we unfortunately will be unable to accommodate you.

We would strongly recommend that you also check the latest travel guidance from your own country’s Department of Foreign before travelling.

We hope that prospective guests can understand our position but the safety of our staff, neighbours and other guests is paramount.
