Aideen Connolly, Art Tutor, will facilitate her Observational Drawing Classes via Zoom for 6 weeks from 8th April 2021.

The aim of these classes is to foster creativity and a love of art through observational drawing / painting from life. 

Objective

• Develop hand/eye co-ordination
• Improve drawing by observing
• Encourage students to explore a number of different mediums i.e. pencil, charcoal, paint etc.

Course content

• Shape and form, light, shade and colour are covered
• Observation drawing rather than from photographs
• Use of a number of different mediums
• Content for classes is driven by the needs and wishes of the students.

Expected outcomes:

• That students will have improved their drawing skills
• Students will have better hand/eye co-ordination when drawing
• Foster a good environment for creativity and a spirit of comradery within the group.
