Join local artist Ruth Cadden for a relaxed and creative 10 week Art Classes, suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience.

Whether you have your own project in mind or are looking for inspiration, Ruth will provide guidance and support throughout the classes.  Participants are welcome to work on their own projects with guidance from the tutor, while beginners can be given individual projects and step-by-step guidance to help develop their skills and confidence.

Class Details

Commencing:    Wednesday, 7^th October 2026
Time:               10am – 1pm (Tutor here from 10am – 12pm.  Continue to work on your project from 12pm - 1pm)
Duration:         10 weeks
Fees:                €80 for the full 10 week course           

Items required:-
Materials – Acrylic Painting

If you already have a starter set of acrylic paints, please feel free to bring these with you.

If you need to purchase individual colours, Galeria is a reasonably priced brand.

The following colours are recommended:

• Cadmium Yellow
• Cadmium Red
• Yellow Ochre
• Ultramarine
• Burnt Umber
• Titanium White

Brushes

If possible, Richard Oliver brushes are recommended. These have black handles with white hair and are called 'Albino' brushes.

Please do not purchase bristle brushes, as these are intended for oil painting.

Recommended brushes:

• Round 8
• Round 6
• Round 4
• ¼" flat

Other Items Required

Please bring the following:-

• Set of plastic palette knives
• A3 acrylic pad
• 4B pencil
• Soft rubber/eraser – the softer the better
• Kitchen tissue
• Greaseproof paper
• An old plate or flat surface to use as a palette
• A4 sketch pad – the inexpensive black-covered pads are ideal
