Themed Gardening Workshops

The Benwiskin Centre is delighted to offer a series of FREE themed gardening workshops over the coming months, once a month, open to all levels of experience.  Led by experienced tutor Ryan Harkin, each session will focus on practical seasonal gardening skills and hands-on learning.

Workshops will be held at The Benwiskin Centre on Tuesday evenings, 6.30pm - 8.30pm.   

The first workshop 'Companion Planting and Garden Design' will be held on Tues. 19th May 2026.

Themes for the remaining workshops will be:-

  • Wildflower Garden (pollinators)
  • Small Pond Establishment (Meitheal)
  • Fruit Tree and Bush Pruning (plum)
  • Vegetable Seed Saving
 
Dates for the above 4 workshops to be confirmed.
 
These workshops are supported by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) and Sligo LEADER Partnership, helping to bring accessible, community-based learning to our area.
